With degrees in Law and International Business from Griffith University and an Associate Diploma in Legal Practice from QUT, Cheryl-Maree has recently completed a Masters of Applied Family Law.
As a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and of the High Court of Australiia Cheryl-Maree initially gained her post-admission experience in Family Law. She then practised widely in Litigation, Insolvency and Debt Recovery, Personal Injury, Criminal Law and Wills & Estates, before deciding to practise exclusively in Family Law here at Mitchells.
Cheryl-Maree has a particular interest in children’s issues which frequently involves resolving difficult and emotional parental conflicts. She tries to give back to the community by conducting some matters on a pro-bono basis.
Cheryl-Maree is a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, the Family Law Practitioners Association, Queensland Young Lawyers, Australian Mediation Association, the University of Queensland Mentor Program and the Southern District Law Association.
When not at work, Cheryl-Maree enjoys vegetarian food, an ice-cold moscato, the ocean, camping, painting and gardening.
